Angling report for week July 28th – August 10th

July 28th – August 10th: Salmon fishing on the lake has slowed down as they are getting very stale. There is excellent seatrout fishing ,with trout up to 2 lbs being landed. The river is slow at the moment as it is very low. An odd grilse are being released.

Note from Mark Walton on his recent fishing

Here are some photos from yesterday, great day out, we hooked 5 salmon to the boat and landed 3. As you know martin got and kept a nice fresh fish. I caught 3 and landed two salmon. Kira did hook a salmon but unfortunately lost it, she’ll just have to come back to get her first Carrowmore Salmon. You have a great set up and the club should be very proud of its facilities, great fishery and well run. Oh and Martin was an absolute gentleman! I’ll see you again soon and wishing you all the best for your launch day today.
